i've heard rumors about the fourth installment to this already great franchise i want to know u're opinion on wether the series needed a fourth installment and any news on the game you have heard

If it happens, it's probably not going to be a direct sequel to three.

Probably going to have a different name, focus on a different character, probably a prequel.

And the online is still gonna suck.

hmmm i'm not entirely sure myself i've seen a few trailors on YouTube and other gameing sites but its all a little hazy right now but you're right in saying it probably won't be a direct sequel seeing as Halo 3 left no signs of another sequel

i thought halo 3 was the last of it, then they're making halo wars?

Age of Empires creators are making Halo Wars, Peter Jackson is making some Halo movie-game, and Bungie still has one major announcement up their sleeve that is likely (but not confirmed) Halo-related.

The Halo mythos still has alot of area that could be covered, the story arc covered in Halo 1-3 are only a fraction of the overall story, and the other parts of the story would make for good games, honestly. Just be sure the gameplay isnt exactly the same as 3, of course. It would be almost milking the franchise, but as long as the games are good, I dont care if theyre just abusing franchise name haha

a friend of mine did work experience in the xbox factory here in ireland.
apparently halo4 is finished:O
however he said that he was told it will not be released?
it will be played in some sort of competition?

I agree, Halo 4 wouldn't make much money. Considering the Gears of War 2 release which is predicted to break major records.

I think you guys might be mistaking this "Halo 4" for Halo Wars. It's an RTS coming out based on Halo. I don't know many details since I'm not a big Halo Fan at all.
