i completely pwned people at medium and i've been trying hard for about a week but i'm still grossly horrible at it, any pointers?

Just practice. I play on expert with no caffeine. Perhaps it's my natural ability to play guitar though.

The standard formula for how to get better at guitar hero is simply:

hit Moar notes.
Suck less.

there aren't any tricks per se. You just have to practice. Although, learning h/o p/os helps.

I agree with Bebop. There is no real trick, just practice. Or better yet, play a music game that is actually difficult, get your ass handed to you by it, then come back to GH3 and it will be easy.

Any recommendations? but plz not DDR, I'm too out of shape for that anymore.

Beatmania. Here's a vid of it. (Sorry I can't find any Beatmania video on youtube that isn't well....scary.) You can find the US version at Gamestop for $30 if your lucky. It comes with the controller.

Beatmania by itself is rather intimidating (7 buttons and the turntable) but no ones gonna post a shit run. So of course you won't find any.

I wish i could be that coordinated. The Gamestops around me suck and don't have it. And call me crazy, but I don't really trust buying games (anda lot of other things) that i don't buy in person. I like to be able to see it and know that it will work before hand.

Meh, I'm not that surprised that you weren't able to find it. In my case I got extremely lucky and was able to grab the Beatmania bundle. To sweeten the deal I got an extra controller for free. Also if your worried about online buying try play-asia.com I've used them for multiple purchases without any problems.
