Politically: It's a matter of the State, not the Federal Government. If one area wants to make it legal and another doesn't, then let the voters decide.

Personally: It's wrong. Having a baby used to be a beautiful, miraculous thing. Now children are commodities, seen as drains on society, and like they are something not worth the time or attention they not only deserve, but need. If you get an abortion for any other reason than the fact it will cause your immediate death, then you are a piece of shit. The majority of abortions are recieved by people who carelessly became impregnated, not rape victims, nor women who have a serious complication.

Abortions are awesome and in any civilized country are performed for free, no questions asked.

It's the mother's choice personally. If she wants to have it aborted then why not? I mean from what I've heard it hurts like a bitch to have a baby. I don't doubt that, but I'm sure it is a bit exagerated.

Also a baby is hardly a human at all untill the third trimester, which is the reason you can't get abortions untill your third trimester, unless it could kill you. Which technically, all births have a chance at killing the mother. It's more common than people believe, though it doesn't happen as say it did in the 20's.

If you don't believe in abortions you better stop eating eggs. Infact stop eating animal products all together. Because humans are animals, and if you hate one death of an animal, you should hate all or your just an ignorant hipocrit.

Besides the world is over-populated as it is, stop taking away humane ways of killing humans, the more we kill for a good reason, the slower the world will be doomed to a lack of resources.

Also on a somewhat related note, the guy shouldn't have to pay child support to the child as long as before the third trimester he says he want's nothing to do with it, then that gives a chance for the woman to avoid financial problems by getting an abortion or consider putting it up for adoption.

I wrote this with a political view for my Theology class. My teacher hated that I added a political view to something as natural as birth (or lack of), but I'll paste it in here anyway.

What is "choice?" Do you really understand the meaning and definition of choice and the consequences of being pro-choice? "Choice" is a nice, innocent-sounding and safe code-word that really means, "I choose to support the murder of innocent, helpless and defenseless babies. Choice and those who choose to be pro-choice are under the illusion that think saying they are pro-choice is an innocent, nicer-sounding and safer code-word... that really means you support the murder of the most innocent of all human life, the defenseless, unborn baby.

There's just no polite or nice way to say I want to have my unborn baby killed by paying a doctor to "terminate my pregnancy" through legal abortion. Even saying "I want to terminate my pregnancy" is a code since everyone knows that a person isn't pregnant with a blob of tissue. When someone is "pregnant," that means there is a baby boy or girl in their womb. So, the ultra-extremists from the left, can't use "terminate my pregnancy" because it actually means, to everyone that hears it, that there's a baby that is being "terminated" or a baby is about to be killed.

Those who are pro-choice, the far-left extremists and ultra-radicals of the democratic party masquerade with semantics, and hiding behind code-words like "pro-choice" and "moderates" wanting you to believe they are moderates! In fact, there is nothing moderate about the murder of innocent, defenseless, and helpless babies. The far-left liberals and ultra-extremists use code-words of choice, moderate, abortion right's ... Abortion rights??? That one always made me think twice... wondering if the far-left extremists had made another mistake about "choosing" this particular "code-word." Especially since even the most ultra-extremists of the far-left understand that there is not one single thing that is "right" about abortion. Please show us where to find in our U.S. Constitution where it states that a woman has a right to murder an unborn baby? Nobody has the "right" to murder anyone, or take anyone's life, this includes the life of an unborn baby.

Hmm, I hear this argument often. I was at this thing called the 'Body worlds' recently, at the Millwaukee Science Museum. They had babies who had been victims of miscarriages, the babies were clearly formed at three weeks....three weeks dude.
