The custom for conquering armies at that time was to take the spoils amongst themselves - any remaining people to be captured as slaves. Nothing condoned the rape of these women, and this passage doesn't reference rape as it does in the rest of the bible, which is usually along the lines of:
Seize, lay with, humiliate.

Virgins were also seen as pure, so they would be the "most clean" among the heathens.

Zechariah 14:1-2

Zechariah 14:1-2 - It was referring to an outside army attacking Jerusalem (Holy City), not the other way around, or verse 3 would be contradictory:

Exodus 21:7-11 - Context. It doesn't refer to them as sex slaves, even here:

That simply means if she does not do her job as a slave.

That's the literal interpretation. That one also says polygamy is OK...clearly not a Christian belief.

Rape is nasty, if this girl thinks it happens and still a virgin now basically she has not had sex with no guy yet, she could have a medical to show weather the hyman has been broke yet or not. And if it has been broke get this man locked up now, cause he is a complete tosser if he did do this.!

There is no Hebrew word for "suffice" or "do a sufficient job" or "satisfy." So when the Bible was being translated, the word "please" was the closest translation. Nowadays, "please" is also related to sexually satisfying, but it certainly wasn't back then. I'd be willing to agree with you that there were sex slaves at this time, but they certainly are not in this context.
