Advice For A Newbie To The Forum?

Hay! I just found the forum. I dunno how I found it.. but I did.
So here I am!!

And Im glad I did find it too. Ive got a bit of a problem that I think I might be able to get some advice on here.

I dont want any stupid responses (unless they also happen to be funny) I want real advice. Kthx.


So heres the story. Ive been goin out with this guy for going on 3 months next week. I really like him alot, and I can tell he likes me alot too, but the thing is hes really shy. And Im not too expressive either. So this causes some problems. Almost 3 months, and we've never even had a kiss longer than acouple seconds. Not right. But I dont know what to do. He is very like... self-concious. I know because him, me, and a couple of my friends went to the pool a few weeks ago and while we jumped right in he stayed out most of the time because he didnt want to take his shirt off. He thinks hes fat... hes really not at all and I think hes really adorible (if he was skinny or somfin I wouldnt lyk him so much. Gotta have a guy with a bit 'o meat on hiz bones!) but hes all self-concious. I think hes afraid if he trys to make a move he'll scare me away or somthing. I want him too though, but Im starting to realize that I might have to make the first move here. But hers the thing: Im not exactly used to having to do that. So, what do you think?

Make the first move. You'll both be happy, once you get past that it pretty easy. As for him being self conscious, tell him to stop being a pussy (in a joking way) when he complains about his weight. Or show him this.

I guess its usually more socially acceptable for the guy to make the first move... I guess you should tell him its okay to, when you're in a movie or alone with him. He's probably afraid of being rejected as silly as it sounds.

Ok. While you two start kissing, KEEP kissing. Take his hand and place it on your chest. If he doesn't get it, then instinct will take over anyway. He will start groping it and grow a little comfortable. Then slowly work on it, taking your time. After you two do everything for the FIRST time, it gets a lot easier. You both will know that it is OK to do it and probably turn in to little horny puppys with the pink things out, dry humping and "experimenting". Its human nature.

You should definitely make the first move. By doing this you'll let him know that you are not afraid to kiss him or do whatever it is your doing, and two it will make him feel comfortable and he will start making the moves. Good Luck!

Look im a shy guy but im a guy and even though I might not make the first move if she did I wouldnt be shy after that because I would know kinda what she likes and I would be more comfortable since I know thats what she wants from me

I remember back a few summers ago when my girlfriend had the same problem. She would lock herself in her room for hours.... days even because her mother would convince her that she was fat. she was far from it.... shes tallish.... 5'9 and weighed no more than 125 pounds..... but she was so self concious about her looks... took me to get her to eat a cheesesteak in her bikini to begin to get over the self-inflicted wounds that she had regarding her appearance.

Basically, what im hinting at is it is YOUR job to be the.... err...... dominator in the relationship. If i were to sit back and let my girlfriend develope these false images of herself.....it wouldnt be right... nor helpful. so i think it is up to you to be the person "in charge" and convince this guy he is up to par with your needs/wants
