I never defended Thor's banning of R2W. I find R2W to be deplorable, and idiodic. However, I may disagree with what he says, but I will defend his right to the death to say it.

I'm on your coat tails because if you are going to ban and lock a thread because of mass deviation of topic, then do so in every other thread. This was personal, and you decided to act on it.

I referenced your posts because it was an example citing that your page and a half long posts often deviate from the topic, and end up Shanghaiing the thread to defend your point and to goad your lily. You almost always win, if not always win. This is just as distracting if not more so, then a one sentence "lol u suck". Your wall of text posts aren't uninteresting, and well thought out, just incredibly off topic some times. You HAVE to win. Its hard to get through and often redundant and bull rushed.

I have no doubt that you are one of the finest debaters I will ever come across , but your urge to be right often blind sights your need to be neutral.

My point was, that if you are to ban members, do so because they post porn, or some such obvious breaking of rules. The deleting porn was just an example of this. You banned those members because it was personal.

I have no doubt that you were granted a mod because of your obvious dedication to the forum. I am not against modding, just appropriate modding. R2W contributes just about as much as I contribute. I credit myself to be funnier, but I don't put myself above him. Just because you can ban people for doing something that you dislike, doesn't mean its the correct way to deal with things.

Instead of outright banning the members, you could have deleted the post instead, or locked the thread after your "No more posts". You could have also added to continue the discussion in privet messages. You could have done something other than banning.

I'm not suggesting that you don't deserve your position, rather suggesting that you weigh other moderating options instead of relying on your ban powers outright.
