Perhaps, but at least they don't suck as much as MCR or FOB. And despite how angsty they are, I've never actually considered them emo. But, Minutes to Midnight did suck lots. I think I only like like three songs off that album.

Linkin Park is overall shit. The lyrics remind me of certain Arg users' psychologically-frustrated rants. But I will admit the actual sound (except for Minutes to Midnight, they tried too hard on that one) is addictive, if anything. It's enjoyable in the same way crunk music is enjoyable- you don't listen for the lyrics or because it's actually good stuff, you just crank the volume and get lost.

I'll halfway agree with you. I like listening to shinoda's raps. But, most of what Chester is actually saying is lost on my ears, I just like what it sounds like.

I really do hate Linkin Park. It's nothing more than poser metal.. need I remind you of the Minutes to Midnight album? As for me, I listen to heavier stuff. Much heavier stuff. Bands like... In Flames, Children of Bodom, Dark Tranquility, Dissection, Testament, e.t.c.

Dude, I like Linkin Park and I thought Minutes to midnight sucked. Because it did. And suffice it to say that my like for Linkin Park is, at this point, almmost completely sentimental. Hybrid Theory was the first cd I bought, and I've since "grown out" of Linkin Park. But I still hang onto to them, even if only for nostalgia.

btw, what do you think of Strapping Young Lad?

Linkin Park wasn't as bad as other Nu-Metal, but Nu-Metal as a whole pretty much sucks.
