Tuesday. I'm getting 3 out (one was removed 3 years ago because it was stuck to another tooth). They are all impacted, which apparently makes it hurt more.

Anyone else get theirs out? How was it?

I'd prefer not to hear any horror stories until after.

Two questions:

How long until I'll be able to eat solid foods? (not necessarily hard foods, but non liquids)

How long will I not be able to run and lift weights. I assume the pressure in your mouth from breathing while lifting weights isn't good on the holes. I'm guessing about a week, but Im not really sure.

I couldnt imagine getting teeth out, the thought makes me cringe.

I like my teeth in my mouth thank you. Luckily I was born with the genetics for good teeth, never had to have anything done but checkups.

Oh man. I don't have answers to your questions, but when my brother got his taken out he was pretty much a zombie. Drugged up. The blood and drool coming out of his mouth added the "Braiiinss..." effect.

Be ready to sleep a lot.

It hurt just looking at him. dahh!

You think that makes you cringe? Well when I was 7 years old, I went in to get two or three teeth pulled. So I'm guessing that operation only took a mear 15-20 minutes. So maybe halfway in (I couldn't tell) I woke up in the middle of the operation.

Total shit.

But Applequest, don't be scared, they just gave me the entirely wrong medication. They won't do that to you, you'll be fine.

Getting your wisdom teeth out is pretty tame actually. Just ask for novocaine/novacaine to soothe the pain. I got prescribed Vicodin when I got my two wisdom teeth removed (which kicks ass, I always wanted to be addicted to Vicodin like Dr. House lolz) and it knocks you out most of the time so you can just sleep it off. It usually takes a week or less for your mouth to heal up and to eat solid foods

I will inevitably need mine pulled someday along the line, it would be funny if they just never came in (hypothetically speaking they weren't there to begin with)
But yeah, get good drugs and have fun with the time you get...

I know I will enjoy getting those drugs, had a friend who broke his arm, they gave him some nifty drugs and he claims that was the single best day of his life.

Ahahaha. My brother got wheeled out in a wheelchair because he was so out of it. He said they couldn't find his vein for the IV so they stuck him a few times. eesh. I used to have braces. I hate dental pain, I'm not looking forward to getting mine pulled.

i got mine taken out last year and it hurt so much the day after i got it taken out. i had to take two days off from school.
