Default trading weed for a good job in the navy
i've been clean for 19 days.

i just finished meps and entered delayed entry. i got a very high score on my asvab (68) and got signed for 6 years as a aet submarine missle technician



do you think it's worth it?

Sub duty? Er, well, at least you'll get paid a bit in bonuses...

And just to let you know (I dont condone nor do it), it's hard when you're in garrison (back in a normal old base) because they test alot, but when you get deployed, you'll see alot of people passing around the bud. Especially in Afghanistan.

Is 68 high on the ASVAB?

I thought the test was out of 100...

I think the requirement is like...35-40 for Navy though, which explains a lot.

my recruiter told me the average score is 45. so 68 isn't that bad


but the test is pretty fucking hard, and it takes 2.5 hours to finish, it's refered to as, the test from hell for most people i talked to in meps.

then you go to a hotel and the fun of the medical exam begins at 5:30am the next day

the national guard qualifies the highest percentage. they pick up people the army disqualfies.

i swore in with a 51 year old man going into the national guard because he cried to hard when he was rejected by the army.

... the ASVAB is a percentile test, so 50 is average. It is not hard, it's just a general overview of basic high school subjects. I got high 90s across the board on little sleep and having barely paid attention in high school.

did you do a practice asvab or the real thing, becuase if you got a 90 that would mean that you should probably take the iq test. 90 would mean that your def a genius

I got a 88, in all honesty I wanted to half ass it but it was just kinda easy IMO. Plus I'm not too interested in joining up with any branch of the military. Ever since I got that they've been calling me like crazy to join up, but it's just not my thing
