I think a debate section would be good if you can weed out the people who can't debate.

It would also be good to keep the Field of Honor debates all together. That way people can make dirrect reference and a decent debate wont be lost in the flood of random topic threads found in The Hangout.

Thus.

I still believe it would be better off in its own board. But thats just me.

How about a Guide thread where users can post guides etc for other users to learn from?

Not diggin' it. Then that limits discussions elsewhere. Debate forums are lame. And all debate don't take place on the Field of Honor, but they can be.
