The mods could decide who is mature and who isn't. It's not that complicated. When someone is starting a thread they can make a request to a mod for them to prevent someone from posting in their thread. They have to give a good reason and if the mod thinks its a good reason they will prevent the person from posting in it.

I don't see who wouldn't want to start a thread without it shitted up by the rants of others. Its not all about maturity, if theres a thread about emo stuff, then those emo people have the right to talk about emo stuff without people saying "emo is gay" and annoying them. And if there is a political thread people have the right to discuss politics without someone shitting it up with ignorance.

And that's a terrible idea. Baldr thinks restricting people from posting in topics is the first step toward ARG's demise. ARG is, intentionally, loose on its restrictions. If you start restricting posting rights, ARG becomes utter trash.

Not to mention there are constant sweeps of new morons joining ARG. You'll never be able to keep them from hijacking a topic. But for the ones that are blocked out, it capsizes a, potentially, good argument. And what is ARG without arguments?

Plus, just think. ARG is a food chain based on the veracity of its member base. If people at the bottom of the food chain are quelled, then we, at the top, have nothing to feed on.

This is a free community,
many people stand testament to that simply by being here.
I for one, if people could moderate me, i would have been gone a long time ago because I think far different than other people here.

I believe everyone has the right to say what they want to say...
I do however believe that stupid and incompetent morons who can't help but bash people for what they said need to stfu and gtfo.

As far as having threads that are watched over and moderated because a small click wants to be 'protected' is a stretch of the GRAND TOTALLY OF THREE MODS.

3 mods really are stretched as it is to keep ARG free of spammers and under some form of order.

I couldn't tell you what kind of order, though if you wait a few posts its likely to be named "The order of the Norse Gods'...

And I wouldn't say it isnt, because...it probley is...

But if people want a place where they can talk and it should be more private and shouldnt be spammed up by assholes who wants to fuck around...

Go build a group.
They seem to be somewhat neglected anyway...

The mods are here to keep peace, settle issues and keep the boards clean.
We are not here to babysit threads to keep out peopelw ho arent breaking rules.
If someone IS breaking a rule...report them. We will get to the report as quickly as possible. I generally check my email through out the day and get to reports within half an hour of it being sent during the day and evening.
So, if someone is bothering you, report them...but while I'm not trying to be mean, we can't be set to babysitting threads like you suggested.

haha, as awesome as that is, that is a slightly restricted subject for a whole subforum.

Unless we have just a RIDICULOUS number of people who know ALOT about the Joker, that is a bit much for one character.

That would be cool though if we did have a bunch of Joker hardcore fans.
