It depends on the topic, of course there are always other topics to post in. The preventing of posters from posting in a thread should be removable by the thread poster. So if someone matures or pms them a good reason they should be able to post then they can post in the thread. I think it would be a great idea because people will be able to prevent people saying shit that will derail a thread that they are almost certain they will say.

Like for example if someone REALLY hates something that you made a thread about and you are positive that he will come into your thread and shit it up with stuff then wouldn't you want to prevent him from posting in it?

I see one problem with this though, people can just do that to others to piss them off. So I guess it would be good if mods could lift the ban of a user from a certain thread and not allow the thread starter to re-ban them.

If used maturely it would be a great addition to our site. But people should only be allowed to use it after they have a certain amount of posts.

Not everybody's gonna use it maturely so...
