I don't think so. For every racist person that won't vote for Obama based on his race there is a black person who is going to vote for him simply because he is black...

If I were old enough, I sure wouldn't be voting for Obama at all. A few months ago, I was the only one below voting age holding up those campaign signs at a polling station. And for who!?! FRED THOMPSON! The guy knew what he was talking about, but he didn't have the oratory skills that Obama has. But once you see through this, the guy's really got no substance. I have the same amount of foreign policy experience as he does. He has also stated that he'd be willing to sit down and talk with leaders of terrorist organizations, including those who refer to Israel as a "stinking corpse." Sorry, but I don't want my president to appease the terrorists. I could go on and on while Obama would not get my vote, but his race is certainly not a factor.

That's a scare tactic.

As leaders, they have to be willing to speak to each other at some point in time, or wars will drag on and on for nothing. Sitting at a table together, as men, will at least allow them to address the issues hands down and figure out what (exactly) both sides want and can agree on. You can't exclude anyone from the world just because of the type of war they fight. Unfortunately, they live here too, and we should work to understand them and their motives.

Most secure man? Haha, it isn't that hard to kill someone. Mind you I'm not including getting away with it. My friend is buying an Ak-47 for $400. All some racist dude has to do is get one, wear a puffy wigger coat, and then "Spray n' pray."

It isn't hard to kill someone, but the President is not someone. He's, literally, the most powerful man in the world.

Naw, the pope is more powerful.
Him and the Dali Lama,
together they could rule the world hands down.

Its just that the vatican guards could most likely pwn all the secret service.

They are scary like that...

But to be on topic again,
I personally am with Guru, Fred Thompson was the guy i wanted for it also.
But he dawdled and kicked the idea around for too long before jumping in on it.
Even as late as he was he had a good run considering, but had he been in from the beginning he could have beaten all the others without effort.

But I'm not racist, I'm not sexist.
I would LOVE to see the US have a black or female president.
However, currently the only ones running are (in my opnion) shallow.

Obama I do believe has not the slightest clue what he is getting himself into, and the way he goes about upholding his opinions and thoughts is bothersome.
Not to be a sheep, but we are supposed to salute the flag in some manner during the pledge, he was not, from what I understand he refused.
I could be wrong.
but still, in any manner, that was dumb.
And his wife has not helped him at all.
The things she has said have really heaped an issue on them both at times.

But for the most part, I hope McCain gets it.
Obama just doesnt seem to me like a good president.

yeah Bush seemed kind of stupid at times, but he has held up, he has done his job, and while the war is still going and stuff has happened, he has been there for 8 years...
and he looks good for a 8th year president in comparison to the rest when they ended their terms.
I have fears that Obama would do alot worse than Bush.

Thus McCain ftw...ew

Ah, Lucian Adonis, glad to see someone agrees with me. And yes, you're right about Obama. Maybe he was tired or something, but any man (woman!?) in contention for presidency has to salute the flag. Not as observed in the following picture.

And about Fred Thompson... I heard on the news one day that a reporter said "Apparently, the excitement created by Fred Thompson's announcement as a candidate didn't carry over into his candidacy itself." And for the most part, I agree. When Freddy T announced he was goin' for it, I heard that on the news. But anything about him the day after a debate? The day after a caucus? NO! Damn bias.

Oh, and I don't like Bush too much. In 2001, he was a man of tradition; a true conservative. Nowadays, he's pursuing an almost socialist agenda. Though, it's hard to blame him with the Democrat-dominated House. Nothing good gets passed these days.

Looks like I strayed from the topic a little... ah well, the governance of our country is always relevant.

Let's get this straight now. Obama will be the president. Prepare yourselves. Leaders like him come once in a lifetime. Sure, he might not have as much experience as the other people running, but he could change this country for the better. Even though I am Republican, I personally would rather have Obama in office instead of McCain. He's too damn old and we don't need another George Bush. If racism was a factor in this election, he damn sure wouldn't have made it this far. And to these idiots that think he's going to get assasinated, shut the hell up PLEASE. Sure it could happen. It could happen to ANYBODY. But if that's the only reason you won't support the man, when it's time for you to vote, stay the fuck home and let the educated citizens handle this.
