I feel like such a jerk. Yesterday, in class, one of my friends was handing me a note and I bumped into her. I know I can't talk because I know the teacher has rules about talking in class. Right now, I feel like a bitch for being by-the-book. It's already worse enough I pay attention to what the law says.

You're not a jerk for not apologizing to her. You could have just told her after class and stuff. By not saying anything in class, you avoided getting her and yourself into trouble.
