As you all must know, there are administrators, moderators and such who abuse their power, ruining servers, forums, sites, games and most aspects of the internet. What I'd like to know here is, in your own opinion, would you like these choice abusers put to death for ruining something meant as a freedom to most of us, or even as a privided allowance for some? Perhaps this seems a bit harsh, but those who abuse the powers they're given should not be allowed these powers in any form, and I know atleast some of you here agree.

So, on the topic of the question... Admins, Live or Die?

But no admins or mods do that here, so this is a pointless thread. Elsewhere, the situation depends but honestly, it's their server/site that they're paying for. Either stfu or gtfo.

Administrators: Absolutely not. An administrator has both the power and the choice to do whatever they want with their site. They are paying for the hosting service (or their own hosting). If he/she wants to drive away attention from their site then that is their prerogative. Also nobody is forcing you to visit the website in the first place. Putting someone to death for this would be absolutely ridiculous.

Moderators: It depends on the Administrator's choices. The worse thing that should be done to an abusive mod should be a permanent ban from accessing the site. Once again, the death sentence would be ridiculous.

Trolls: Although annoying, once again death would be absolute overkill. The internet, is not globally policed, so having trolls is to be expected. The internet is a place that can be devoid of all emotion/remorse. Only a fool would allow the happenings and events of the internet interfere with their real life affairs.

Admins?They are not abusive

Now the mods can be questionable,but for the most part thier good,your just exaggerating.

Vote MUGABE or not at all my friends!

I'm not necessarily talking about this place, but on most servers. Think about this though, people would create a server just to ban people for fun, or the server becomes a highly used area and THEN the admins/mods decide to ban people for fun. Now if you go to a more... business oriented server, this never happens.

But i'm talking about the unofficial servers/forums run by pure fools. Check "animefiendz", a forum I was redirected to, you'll see the more... immature type of fool i've been rambling on about. But still, i'd rather see a few of the people here who hate thor, odin or and random admin from any part of the internet itself.

I agree. Although I might contend an abuse of power in the form of editing someone's post in a negative manner should warrant some form of punishment. I've been on message boards where the administrator changed my entire post. If it's to censor a word or remove "inappropriate" content, I can understand. But changing a normal post to something like "I love the cock" should not be allowed. That's imposing upon the members' rights and although there are ways to combat this, it is quite foolish.

I'd also like to point out administrators who ban members for issues that occur off of the message board. This should also be considered taboo. I once got banned from a message board simply because I sent a few mass comments on my YIM.

Haha.. but seriously.. Death? That's just a lil to harsh ;] For a mod the least should just be a warning from an admin, and if they still abuse it, they lose their powers. It's that simple. But as for admins, I believe it's their forum, and whatever they say should go.
