Heres the deal. If you do not know what I am talking about, ignore this.

The last few nights, I have been told that one of my members from my forum (LINK REMOVED) has been spamming this forum.

I apologize for this, as it is not something I want. But, I find it completely unacceptable that two members joined to spam my forum. One decided to spam with pornography, which is not acceptable.

It was requested that I talk with the moderators here to find out who did the spamming here, but I will not do that. You did something unacceptable at my forum, therefore I am not willing to do anything for you.

I would be willing to PM you the IP Address of the member who was spamming, if you would like to find out and take action on your own forum. Any future spammers here will be banned immediately.

True. But then again, how are our moderators to know you aren't the same person as last night (and previous nights)? They claimed to be on a proxy which, by no means, is a difficult process. The better thing to do was come here, apologize for your own member's actions, and say it won't happen again. Anything about members here spamming your forum you should send to the administrator, John, in a private message. If you thought the moderators were mediocre, wait until the actual members arrive to this thread.

Not our fault that members from here take offense to that and attack your site. However, we cannot hold anyone accountable for what they do elsewhere. It's your problem and duty as an admin, to deal with problems that arise on your domain. We shall do so as well.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with the lot of you. I am, in no way, advocating for the actions of this "ello" person and their spamming of the forum. But to those who stooped to the same level as this individual, you need to grow up. When someone acts like an imbecile, you don't act like an imbecile with them. You stand on a plateau higher than theirs and elevate yourself.

Granted, this particular administrator did not handle the issue the best manner, due to comments like the last paragraph.

Frankly, you're all in the wrong. The whole lot of you. Why?

First of all, ello shouldn't have spammed and instigated in the first place. This puts him at the highest level of rebuking in this. Granted I don't know who this individual is or why they did what they did, it still was an unnecessary thing.

I believe I covered those who responded by spamming the ONES forum as a rebuttal. They are, indeed, in the wrong as well. Almost as much as this "ello" fellow. Maybe even more because they stooped to that level. Again, I don't know who they are, but it was totally unnecessary and the use of pornography cemented their stupidity.

Now the moderation team? Thor and Tyler. You're supposed to conduct issues like these in a mature manner; not strike back with a vengeance. Shouting profanity and insults solves nothing. Instead of peacefully discussing the issue and possibly showing Mr. ONES where his error lied, you made yourselves just as bad. I would expect individuals as intelligent as you, Thor and Tyler, to conduct this in a better manner. I'm not advocating for how he handled the issue, but you could have certainly responded better. A moderator should never resort to comments such as "get the fuck out, moron."

To the members who see this as some cyber West Side Story, stop. You're not making the issue any better or making the forum look any more mature. I have respect for every one of you who posted; don't make that dwindle. Playing a pseudo "DIS IS OUR TURF, MAN; GO HOME" is lame.

And finally, Mr. ONES. Your issue lied in your unwillingness to be civil about the issue. Instead of coming here and negotiating a peace treaty and a rebuking of everyone who participated in the clash of idiocy, you chose to post and insult us. That is why you met with the insults that you did. Next time, discuss the issues with the moderating team or, if you're going to post, post it in a mature manner.

Technically, the porn is on a grander scale. But neither were acceptable. Justifying an unacceptability by pointing at another unacceptability solves nothing. It just makes two unacceptabilities.
