so, it comes up and says "starting connection" and that's all it does.

it never connects.

i don know of it's cos i have a router now or what.

help me please?

anyway, make sure you:
1. have the latest version of the software
2. your firewall is not blocking it, (it has been added to exceptions or firewall been disabled when u run it)
3. Try reseting your IP depending on your windows > i think its like run > "ipcfg" or something.

well,this is illegal and can be reported, I wouldn't report ya of course, just saying it isn't smart to put on a non-secure forum.
You either have to find the port number for it and put it into your routers "port forwarding" mechanic so it allows it, or would be some where in the limewire settings. Other than that I can't help you anymore, I use another program similair but better.

I used to use a program called emule but I kinda stick wit' bittorrent now instead

a lot safer imo especially if ya know safe sites

ooh yea go to computer, windows, system32, drivers, etc, hosts, and put the ip accessing limewire in there and u will have no problems. that's how u port forward, anyway my uncle is a director of an IT company that's how i know this stuff >.>

also try using Ares limewire is pure sh!t.

if you get the free version dl the limewire pro version thru the programs lol.... so technically it looks like you paid and you get more benefits
