What I was taught in one of my theology classes was imagine God is at the top of a mountain.

The religions are roads humans build to get to God. Some get further than others. Some almost get close to the top.

However, Christianity is the only religion where God actually came down and made a path down the mountain for humanity. (Ryan's quote served to exemplify that point).

So that's how Christianity can claim to be better than all the others (keeping all religious tenets intact).

What quote are you referring to? this one? :

"Jesus says "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me" Jesus says there is no other true religion except through him."
I cant see how this makes christianity better, since Muhammad said the same to muslims, Sri Krishna said the same to hindus. The list as endless as the list of religion themselves. I cant see how just Jesus saying so makes it better or any more believable. Just because Jesus, the Bible and christians say that its better doesnt make it better than other religions, who say the same/similar about their own religion.

To be honest, I have to side with Njord.
His post is beautifully laid out and explicitly clear and comes to a definite conclusion.

And, how would you deciede which path is better, if there are more than one that lead to God (I am not saying close to God, but to God since all the religions claim to do so.) Which one takes less time? Or easier? Or maybe less involved and simple?

My bad, I was rushing and barely read the question and didn't even read Ryan's response. However, I do concede with honor. Good game Ryan.

@Psychedelia - I completely missed the point of the question or I would've used the same scripture as Ryan. Or I would've compared the distorted views of Islam to Christianity. etc..etc.
