| Honestly, no religion can claim to be superior to any other religion, however, this is a spawn of zealous righteous and unlearned individuals. I'll use Christianity as an example. Christianity - The Bible teaches followers of Christ, by way of parable, to "Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled." Luke 14:23 "And the master said to the slave, 'Go out into However, there are those who don't realize the full context of this statement, along with others in the Bible, and only grasp what they see. The parable goes that a rich Lord invited his friends over to a great feast. However, the friends backed out (a terrible insult in that time) and the Lord had no one to serve. So he tells his servant to go and bring in the lame, blind, and poor. And he brought those people in, yet there was still room for more. So the Lord says, go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come. Compel - Archaic ~ to drive together; unite by force; herd. Some Christians believe, by taking various parts of the Bible out of context that it is their job and duty to go and save the world, by driving down every sinner they can find with Verses and pamphlets. However, there has to be a reason this servant needed to compel those living off the streets, to come get a free meal. Ever see homeless living off the street, even though you and they know there is a shelter nearby they can go to? Ever try to help someone who would not accept it no matter what? By telling this story, Jesus (narrator) makes the point that there are those who don't feel worthy of help or "God's love." However, there are few who realize this because all they see is "compel those" and they do, without taking into account that this is a story and must be comprehended as one. This is just one reason why it seems Christianity is lorded over other religions. Ignorance and lack of knowledge pertaining to the context of "Religious Writings." It's not Christianity that makes this boast, but the ignorant followers of the religion. Had to rush it because my sister wants to get on. XD

No one comes to the Father but through me" Jesus says there is no other true religion except through him. Njord the subject is how 1 religion can be correct over all not superior you went completely off subject. The followers of every religion will say that their religion is best. Quite naturally, Christians will say that Christianity is right above all other religions; Muslims will say that Islam is best; Jews will say that Judaism is best; Daoists will say Daoism; and so on. Perhaps what is most important is that, although based on different theology and, sometimes, different gods, all religions teach high moral values. The question may also be seeking to establish which of the many modern religions contains truth about the universe and its supreme being. Unfortunately, that is a matter of faith. There is no available evidence to prove objectively that any religion is true and that other religions are less so.

| Honestly, I'm going to have to give this one to Ryan. I asked for how one religion, any religion, could claim superiority (it didn't have to be right), and Ryan provided one hell of an example from Christianity (I was actually thinking the same thing). If anyone else disagrees, let them step forth.
