Tbh, I do look at appearance first and, yes, they do have to be remotely hot, but in the long run they have to be interesting, funny, nice, not insecure, cool, hygienic and have similar interests but not all the same..

As someone has already said;
It varies greatly from girl to girl.

I met one girl who loved the concept of a hairy guy while another girl I know hates guys with excessive amounts of body hair.

One girl I know likes guys that are not really that much more muscular than she is, but they have to not be wimps.
While another girl I know finds a shy guy somewhat attractive and cute.

So, you cant ask sucha general question.

Your best chance is to find a girl that YOU find attractive, and who has traits that YOU find attractive and just try and slowly let her meet your quirks and such.

Thats how my girlfriend and I worked out.

I am an EXTREAMLY quirky guy.
I like to be bitten (woot the vampiric tastes)
and by luck she enjoys the concept of biting and being bitten also.

As well she role plays like I do (not as nerdy though, I play dungeons and dragons and she doesnt)

Though chances are you wont ever find someone who matches you absolutly perfect.

My girlfriend and I fit wonderfully together.
Alas she has problems with portions of my catholic faith and we both get depressed REALLY easily.

So you just have to find someone who balances you out.

Other than that you can find people who will find you attractive around every corner.

Seriously, take my word on it.

For every freak out there, there is a freak that will like them back. There are plenty of guys out there that LOVE to fuck obese girls, they call them "Goddesses". However, for most normal (sociological definition of normal) people, obesity is disgusting and unhealthy. There is no amount of alcohol in the world that would get me to pork an obese chick.

That being said, what kind of guy do ALL girls like? I can tell you right here and right now, anyone who disagrees is wrong.

Girls like good looking guys who are confident and interesting with a decent physique.

Good looking - speaks for itself.
Confidence - speaks for itself.
Interesting - you can hold her attention and keep it there indefinitely. Very attractive.
Decent physique - shows you give a shit enough to get off your ass and exercise a little. Plus if you can show a girl you can run long distances, you subconsciously trigger in her that maybe, just maybe, you can do something else for a long time.
