So i have this best mate, Matt, we have been best mates for about 3 years. We tell eachother everything, but we hang around with very diff people, so we dont see eachother alot. We talk online and texting almost everyday, not everyday though. So sometimes we oraganise to hang out with a group of people we both hang round with sometimes. Lately we have started to hang out just the two of us, it only happened twice so far, but its different as we never ever did it before.
So i really fancy him alot, he has a wonderful personallity, hes so nice, hes funny and always has lots to say, plus hes cute But he thinks of me as like his sister we are that close.
But lately i have gotten lil signs off him makin me think does he like me?? Even though its prob jus cause he is so comfortable with me.
He suggested we watch a dvd together just us two, which is odd. And it was a scary film, he texts thinks like "luv u" which he told me a while ago that wen some says luv u to someone else round here its code for them fancying you. But do u think he jus doesnt realise wen he says "luv u" ?? are we just that close?? I cant ask him if he likes me or tell him i like him as if he didnt our friendship wit become so awkward and i would be so embarassed.
also other times he just acts like we are mates. like wen we hang out he doesnt indicate likin me at all. its total friendship. but lil things get me thinkin, its really buggin me as i really like him soooooooooooooo much like think bout him 24/7 kinda thing,
i also was wonderin on advice bout wen we hang out i think i am maybe a bit shy ?? i dont think i am but like we used to hug hi and bye wen we wer out and now we dont maybe he tihnks i dont really seem to want to as i kinda jus sit der, should i be more touchy feely as in hugs and messin and stuff maybe he wil think i like him a bit more than as friends but also without me sayin it to him he mite also jus like it?? good idea?? I dno.. any comments i would love, thank you, sorry if it makes no sense im jus really confused i really like my best mate and i cant tell him and its killin me likin some1 so much and not bein able to hav it.

Well signs are there that he likes you. Especially being suddenly uncomfortable with physical intimacy. He doesn't want to seem overbearing with his feelings, but he's overdoing it. Call him on it is my advice. Ask him, "Why won't you hug me?" or something similar, and then ask "Do you like me?" Regardless of what he says, you say "I think (opt.) I like you" and see how it goes. He'll probably hit you with the "I don't want to ruin our friendship" line, call him on his bullshit if so and tell him to not be a pussy and just go for you.

Well if he doesn't like you, you can just drop it. However, make sure he doesn't bullshit about it. If he hasn't come out with it by now, it's because he's scared/nervous to approach you. So if he even hints that he likes you when you ask, make sure you pull that shit out. Threaten if you have to, wrestle and kiss him while yelling "you KNOW you like me!" (My best friend did this to me...sigh..)

ok, so i hav no idea how the guy mind works.
Is it possible at ALL , that he didnt like me at first , then decided we were to good mates to go anywer, then recently started likin me?? or once a guy thinks of a girls as a sister thats it?? Its hard though as he has this other friend that told him she liked him and he said i just think of you as a sister and they are just as close as us and she is prettier and hangs around with the people he hangs around with, so do i have a shot at all???? confusedlillady are you australian because you sound it in the words your using anyway i think u should just stay friends with the guy you like, and yes we (guys) do have trouble understanding if a girl likes us so if you really wanna see if he likes you flirt a bit and make sure he knows your flirting.

a guys mind works like this they dont really care if a girl and them are really good friends they just like whoevers sexier or whatever if you want just ask him out before the other prettier girl you got nothin to lose
