Ok so we all know about the 'cutting' trend. I dont understand it - what do people achieve by cutting themselves? How does it help in any way? I tried to educate myself but all the responces from cutters say something along the lines of 'stfu you dont understand me'.

I am not trying to attack anyone, I genuinely want to know.

How does physical pain relieve emotional pain? How do you rationalise cutting?
And what is considered as a hard life in our post-modern world [if used as an excuse]?
What do you GAIN from cutting - emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically?
When was the first time you cut and what was your reason?
How could you even think of cutting, didnt it occur to you that it's not the best solution? Did you think it through?
Do you cut just enough to sense pain or do you actually attempt suicide?
Do you talk to people about it? If yes, why do you want them to know?
Do you think cutting helps you or do you see it as damaging?

So, cutters, this is your chance to explain yourself to the world... let's hear it. If you claim you're not an attention whore, then you must realize you need help and the only way to recieve help is to let other people know your reasons.
