| People become addicted to all kinds of strange behaviors, for all kinds of reasons. Although I wouldn't doubt some do want the recognition, they have usually been trained to seek out attention in unhealthy ways. I would suggest that you talk to a real psychologist, and refer people you know with the problem to a counselor or similar specialist.

| There's a difference to being addicted to something, and thinking you're addicted to something. The only withdrawal syptom you'd get from quitting cutting is not having bleeding wrists anymore.

| Emo's cut because Phys. Pain is more painful than emotional pain... So physical pain overlap's the emotional pain, feeling as it's not there anymore and you slowly bleed to death . Good ridden's to bad rubbish. |
