My mother is evil, and I don't know what to do. We fight daily. She has hit me before, and she is always screaming at me. I have 3 siblings who are all moved out, and she constantly compares me to them. She fights with my father all the time. She expects me to be perfect, and I'm not. She brings my self esteem down by telling me I'm not good enough, I'm fat, etc. She controls everything in my life, even forbidding me to hang out with one of my very good friends. Yeah, i disobeyed her, but still. It's getting worse every day. I don't know what i can do!!!! If I don't get away from her, I'll go crazy! Anyway, I'm just wondering if this happens to anyone else and if anyone has any advice. I feel so alone.

Good god, that sounds EXACTLY like my mother. Especially the screaming, putting me down in public, etc. Luckily when things were really starting to go crazy I moved in with my dad. I suppose it depends on how old you are and when you can move out. Otherwise, endurance really is the only option. Try to reduce the time you have to spend around her, maybe stay at friends' houses if you can sneak away or something. Just figure out how to get away for as long as possible.

Hire an assassin.

Yeah it's getting especially worse since it's summer and i don't get to spend 8 hours at school. It's really hard to get away from her cuz she usually puts me on an invisible leash and I have to follow her wherever she goes, and then if I go somewhere, she usually comes to. It's like, impossible. I'm grounded every time I have an "additude" which basically means if I'm perfect, I won't be grounded. Uh-huh. THAT"S gonna happen.

Ask your neighbors to adopt you, then butter the floor in any room you think she'll trip and land on something like a table, chair or something blunt and painful.

Maybe try to convince her to let you go to a summer camp. Even though summer has already started, maybe you can still find something. If it's as bad you say anything would be preferable. Personally, my mom blamed my dad for all the problems in her life but since he wasn't there, took it out on me. I was like 10 or so but even at that age I found ways of minimizing the time spent in the house or around her.

Well you could always let her catch you masturbating or something awkward like that, that usually keeps the parents away.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Sorry. I've been begging her to let me go to summer camp since i was like, 5. NOT gonna happen. She like, has something against summer camp. And then, when we got in this huge fight, (as usual) she was all, "I was seriously considering letting you go to camp but now I'm definitely not." I was like, uh huh, yeah right. Anyway, good Idea but not gonna happen.
