| so, being a little flaby, and lacking a keg or a six pack, I decided to start working out. I'm neither fat nor skinny, weigh 141 lbs, 5'11. I decided to work on my back and abbs, seeing as one needs to balance the other. work out routine:
repeat once. then the next day ext. I was thinking about two weeks into it, I would bump up each set by ten, and every following week after that by ten. suggestions or advice? I am new to this whole deal, and would welcolme any advice (serious or not).

| I don't have much body fat, just around my belly. I just have a lack of muscle mass. (edit: plus I smoke so cardio is out of the question)

| all of those required machines or dumbbells. I don't think I need a gym membership to get a good workout. if im wrong, then hell. but I don't want to do gyms if I can get a good workout at home, with little or no investment.

| Good choice my man. One thing to note though, if you choose to run, you can't quit after you get slightly tired. Running hurts no matter how much you do it. The key to lasting long while running is instead of thinking "oh man this hurts, I'm gonna stop." Think "fuck yeah let's see how much I can make it hurt!" I know it souds cheesy but it works. If you'd like I can upload a running schedule I got from my Cross-Country coach. It has something to do almost everyday. |

| ok, ill keep that in mind. I've actualy been looking at some running articals via google. the listen to upbeat music one makes sense, and the bit about making it hurt is in there too.
