Hey.
Today a cat from the neigbourhood came to our house.
He is fat and ginger color and remind me of my cat I needed to let to put to sleep because he was old.

He is beautiful and have no necklace or anything to tell me he has a home.
He is in search for love and dont like to be picked up.

I can see he is probably a field cat, because he will try to scratch you when you come near him in certain situations.

He is here for about 2 hours now in the house.
Why would he search for love and want a house to go to if he have one?
I live in New Zealand where it is critical to have a necklace around your cat to show he has a home.

You should write a poem about it.

First, if he is in good condition then he probablly has a home. If he is fat, healthy looking, shiny and all that he has probablly lived inside and gotten out. I dont know where you live and if they have microchipping but your best bet is to take him to a vet and say that you found him, you will have to fill in an animal finding sort of piece of paper and then they will take him.

If your local vet wont take him, please dont take him to the pound. Make flyers and put them up everywhere with a photo. Then you stand a chance of finding his owner because a happy pet cat wont roam to far.

Think back to when you found him, did he seem scared and lost? If not he was probablly exploring and will go home on his own?

Yeah, generally, cats don't get lost, they leave.

If it is an old cat then it could get lost.
But younger cats like to wander, they could wander blocks and blocks, but if they know that food, water, shelter, and warmth exist all in one place with the cats name on it then they will tend to go there claiming it as 'home'

if the cat just followed you in then it could just be friendly.
if you 'took' the cat in, it may not let you pick it up cause its pissed cause it wants to go home now.

really, the best thing i can say is basically let it go on its own, I imagine it would go home.
If it doesnt have one it might continue to wander around your place.

But you are making false assumptions guys,
I was not taking the cat in at all.
She was coming in and was in the house for 2 hours.

She is now gone.
But maybe she will return back tomorrow.
