I don't support emos at all, but most of dem be wack bitchy wankstaz

I mean dayum, if you gonna go out in a blaze of angst and sorrow at least go out like Cato right hurr:

In Utica, Cato did not participate in the battle and, unwilling to live in a world led by Caesar and refusing even implicitly to grant Caesar the power to pardon him, he committed suicide. According to Plutarch, Cato attempted to kill himself by stabbing himself with his own sword, but failed to do so due to an injured hand.

One of Cato's slaves found him on the ground and called for a physician to stitch up and bandage Cato's wounds. Cato waited until they left him and then tore off the bandages and the stitches with his fingers and pulled out his own intestines, thereby ending his life.

Now dat's a badass right thurr.

I'm called emo (that really pisses me off) coz i don't self harm, i just like black clothing and band hoodies....FFS. Anyhow, i'd day rocker was more me. ... i hate peeps who can't tell the difference between a pathetic emo and a rocker. I mean, i just like the classica de rock. LOL

I used to cut and I completely agree.

Despite the fact that my friends insist that I was depressed (it was three years ago) and that I had 'issues', I can pretty safely say that I was being a histrionic idiot. I was a self absorbed, vain, moron who couldn't take two minuets to think about someone other then themselves, it was pathetic. I didn't even freaking KNOW what depression was.

Here is what depression is: Seeing where the world is going and wanting to bash your head it. Looking at all the ignorance and the shortening numbers of people with common sense, the utter uselessness of the government and knowing that nothing will ever change. Knowing that in this world all you are is a number and how easily everything can collapse, knowing that you are no longer free and how people have grown so complacent that they will gladly give up their freedoms for the illusion of safety...that is what depression is, it's not as attention grabbing as cutting, it's not asking for sympathy, it's not self centered, and it's real.

That's called cynicism. If you don't like something, work to change it. Teenagers overamplify problems and make it seem like Ragnarok is coming. You don't like the state of the world? Really? Well, what world are you comparing Midgard to? Have you seen life on other planets? Stop comparing Midgard to Disney worlds.

Baldr is not saying that the world is perfect or hardy. That is, actually, why Baldr is here. But when you focus so heavily on the negativity around you that you can't see the positive, you become another negative. That's the problem with society. Everyone whines about problems, but do nothing to change them.

Eh, I don't know, my health teacher and I got into a huge argument over it...I insisted it was cynicism too, she said it was depression, personally I don't care (yay, apathy).

In real life I'm not much of a negative person, I do stop to enjoy things (like living, fresh air, books, making fun of things, skipping and so forth), but thoughts like that are sort of a nice backdrop to it all, and I do try to change things, I am vocal about my opinion for one and am in various clubs which supposedly get things done.

Although what I must say is that I absolutely love the feeling that everything may just collapse in the next ten years and how things are sort of falling apart right now. For some sick reason I am rather fond of chaos.

Here's a point Baldr would like you to consider very carefully: teachers are not always (or usually) right. Teachers are, in general, weird individuals. Your teacher is a moron if she confused cynicism with depression.

Yeah I know she's a moron, that's why I got into an argument with her. She is also under the idiotic impression that a glass of champagne on New Years given to you by your parents is a health risk...WTF? Yeah, because that totally makes me an alcoholic...

Ignorance knows no bounds. Baldr abstains from alcoholic beverages in even small portions, but sees no harm in a glass on New Years. That's what you call an extremist.
