2) Boot was pretty fun, overall. With the exception of the Marines, all basic training is relatively easy nowadays. As long as you can keep your head on your shoulders you're good. Be warned though, physical standards for Air Force boot are higher than Navy/Army so chances are, if you go in a slob, you won't be able to shape up in 6 weeks (by the time you take the final physical test). 1st week was a hellish blur where youre doing pushups until you throw up, screamed at half the time, unable to eat at meal time because of a combination of the above two, and you get most of your paperwork and uniform stuff done in first week. Haircuts, too. Roughest haircut ever Very busy, hard to remember it on a day to day basis except for that the very first night was probably the worst night of my life. 2nd week was probably the most uneventful. Literally, its just eating, working on cleaning up your personal area and sharpening your uniform (neither will ever be perfect and you will get constantly reamed on them until 5th week), studying the Air Force book they give you, marching around, physical training... 3rd week is a bit better, the drill sergeants (in Air Force, called training instructors, TIs) lighten up just a little and start cracking jokes on people instead of being asses. Prepare to go to warrior week, also, get issued your blues. 4th week, warrior week. You go to a different part of the base where there are competely different TIs; these guys have been here alot longer than the regular TIs. The TI in charge at warrior week is, without a doubt, the scariest human being I have ever seen, and he was a small Japanese guy. But besides that, you stay in a tent, you dont really have to keep anything clean or fold your stuff up all nice. You eat MREs. Each day you do something different, like M16 qualifications, confidence course (probably the funnest part of basic if you like running around and jumping over stuff and climbing ropes that feel like theyre about to snap... its basically a really big, badass obstacle course), gas chamber (cleared my sinuses! literally had snot going down to my waist), etc. Basically, they go over what youll need to know when you get deployed. 5th week, you go back to your barracks... TI welcomes you back, hopefully not in a pissed off manner. You put all your stuff put back away, and this week is all about tests tests tests. Stupid people that dont know how to study often fail out right here. Lots of studying, the tests aren't that hard if you pay attention and are good at retaining key points. Also, you have your final physical test. You fail, well, youre screwed. 6th week, wear your blues, and you practice drill and marching like no tomorrow. Your feet will HURT because the service dress shoes are bricks, and they literally have you doing drill practice 5-6 hours a day. I personally found it pretty easy, and was able to space off and still keep perfect form. It was soothing, a break from all the running around and shouting and all that. But anyway, you do your graduation ceremony, bam, done. That weekend, you can go off base for 1-3 days depending on how well you did on your final physical, and the remainder of the days you can freely go around on base. Family is allowed to visit during this weekend. Monday morning, I'm talking like 1-2AM, you get on your bus to go to your tech school where you get your job specific training. Yes there were times where I was like "**** this, this sucks" but looking back, whether you are soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine, everyone says they wish they could do their boot again because really, its the most exciting time most people will have in the military. Plus, unless youre a party pooper, its easy to get so pumped at basic... it sucks when you get punished, but when your basic flight finally does something right, the sense of teamwork and pride really shines. Any specific questions about it? |

Contrast that with you, the silly pothead who doesn't understand basic economic principles such as supply and demand, not to mention the concept of state taxation of goods.

| Notice the lack of proper vocabulary, grammar, etc. This is typical of the lower class enlisted. An officer is an educated soldier, and would never have posted drivel such as this verbal diarrhea you are spewing.
