Here is a little about me.

Over the last few years I have been stuck in a place I extremely dislike. From age 15 on I had dreamed of finally having a enough money to move to California. California seems like the perfect place for me. Maybe it is, maybe its not, but only one way to find out right?

I currently have a friend in Long Beach, offering me a place to stay and a job immediately once down there. I currently just quit my job about 3 weeks ago, I don't have any type of relationship here. No commitments at all.

I may leave next week, I'm thinking Monday(03-31) I've been trying to think of every possible reason why I should -not- go, to figure out why I haven't just left yet.

Family and Friends. Thats it. Yes, a big part of me, but in reality, I will see them again, I don't want to put my life on hold forever. I want to move to Cali, go to school down there, maybe start a career there.

Its going to be tough considering I don't have a lot of money, and I have insane amount of car payments due every month. But I like working under pressure, I work harder.

I think this could all work out. The first month...Maybe two would be difficult, but after that. Should be no different than here.

Anyone had any moving experiences with payments coming up, and its basically a race to get that paycheck before the bills come?

Hey Karma, actually yea when I first moved to Cali i moved with 6 of my friends, my mom wasn't living in cali at the time. Anyway I was 16 and we rented a 4bdr house with a guest house, and it was like a frat house although i was the youngest out the group, and no it wasn't easy at the time to make $ and not asking any help from my family cuz i wanted to be on my own.

Anyway first few months it was kinda hard cuz i had school still and work etc, but we helped each other and had loads of fun. As far as moving and careers, i don't know where you live right now, but make sure you know what you r getting into. For example atm i live in North Hollywood and my apt rent is $1,400/month its a decent place, or "luxury" as they would call it, but the point is in other places an apartment like this would be half if not less in price. So you should be used to much bigger prices for almost everything lol.

Also depending on what you study and do it's pretty easy to make $ in LA. but just keep going to school i assume college or university. and hustle it, if u want i have some friends that own IT companies, also club promotions etc, so if u need a job let me know, althought I know mostly ppl from around Bev hills, the valley (studio city, univ city, encino, etc) and hollywood, west hollywood. So it's quite a way from long beach.

Also my mom owns a company and she is hiring for some positions atm too..
it jsut depends on what u can do.
