Is the devil really that bad? I was just thinking about it. 'cause in all the stories, legends, myths, what have you about Satan, he's tortured the souls of human beings for eternity. But there's never been a story about him destroying, and burning a soul out of existence. And isn't the soul the most precious thing? If it is, and the Devil is so horrid, than why won't he destroy your soul; obliterate it and call it nothingness?

I'm just curious, nothing to anger anyone. and yes, i am christian. Its actually for this book i'm writing and i'd like to get some input. thnx

well. a guy some how explained the theory that hope is the essence of one's soul. every minute of torture allows the realization that your soul is still intact. and if hope is the essence of the soul, than doesn't that mean that there may always be chance that it'll all stop?

When talking about a Satanist they really ain't much different than normal people. Just like there is normal christians, you don't have a dress code, you don't have to sacrifice lambs, you don't have to do anything but go to church(forget which days.)

Now if you was like a priest then yes, there is sacrificing, but it is sanctioned by the american government for the 1st amendment, and they are supposed to do it quick and painless, but I doubt they have people check on them. Also the high priest will sometimes have sex with a woman on the alter, don't remember why exactly... lol.

I never been to a satanic church but this was all in this book I read, also your like promised to serves the devil instead of being tortured for eternity.

Oh yeah, but the one thing I can agree with about Satanists is their views, they mainly believe in stuff like "an eye for an eye" and "you hit me, I hit you back" they are deep into revenge, like most people are. If someone rapes your sister, you rape their sister, if no sister, mother, or cousin, if no females in family more than likely you are supposed to just kill the dude. They take it a little far but certain things like that is where they are misunderstood.

Its a sort extreme version of selection of the fittest. A strong satanist would say, "I am strong, therefore I will seize what I want, even with force if necessary." It also has bits of social darwinism in it though. Things like, a weak person will perish and therefore the weak genes will be gone making humanity a stronger race.

It seemed to be a logical (but extreme) belief system to me but then as I got to the "magic" section of the book, it got pretty stupid in my opinion. Quite like Aleister Crowley.
I was looking at it as more sort of a practical and logical religion, and I was dissapointed.

Oh, and to not to hijack the thread:
As a non-believer in existance of Satan (and God), I see the devil as the other force. Just like God represents everything that is right, Satan as shown in religion represents the exact opposite. So yes, he is pretty nasty.

Good vrs Evil isn't an exception.

If God is truely good, then there is no such thing as good, just existing for the same cause that everyone else exists for.

If God is truely Evil, the same thing as above.

God has to be both in order to sustain a balance of Good and Evil. I believe the bible invents Satan to make God look all good when he can't truely be if he's the creator of everything.

Christians don't have common sense in their religion, sometimes. God created everything. Thats everything good and everything evil. This includes Satan, which was a creation of God.

One thing said about Angels is that they lack free will. So Satan couldn't possibly "choose" to betray God, if the story is true, anyway.

Yeah survival of the fittest I agree with, like you said darwinism, which means the strongest survives and strongest evolves into higher beings.
Todays culture we pitty the weak though where in normal nature the weak dies. So scientists predict that we will evolve into two different races, one a short race mixed with black,spanish,white,asian, all that good stuff into a goblin like stupid race. Then there will be the high noble class, but I don't think that most the scientific community agrees haha.

But god was unchallenged for a long ass time untill his best angel turned against him and that whole story as how the devil came into being(I also don't believe in either.) Honestly if the devil looks anything like on constantine I'd serve him lmao j/p

Good and evil is just ideas created by man. Just like the idea of good and evil can't balance themselves out of their own accord and needs to be a neutral force to keep the scales balanced.

The soul is not Satan's property to destroy.
