 Distant Goth Girl Theres this new goth kid at school, and she seems really nice and friendly, but... She hates me. Now, she just transferred here recently (like, only a week ago) and the first day she came here I was pretty enthusiastic about meeting a new person. So, when she finally came into the class, I was really happy and bubbly and friendly to her. But now, she doesn't talk to me when I try to talk to her, and when I offer to do something nice for her (stand next to her best friend in Physical Education, give her a bite of my banana cream pie, etc.) she gives me a cold "whatever." I talked to her friends (quite a bit of her goth friends are are also my friends) and they said either 1) I'm being a dick (I doubt it, I've barely talked to the damn girl) 2) I came off to strong, or 3) She's trying to get my attention. So, I really want to be friends with her, but it seems we just don't fit very well, and I'm worried that I'm being an ass without seeing it. What should I do   |

| best i can tell you, is to stop playing the 'omg what's she say about me' game, and just ask her yourself. if she's still not willing to talk to you, she just doesn't plain like you for some reason. maybe it's just your personality and not you being a jerk specifically. i can understand if it's a girl-i-like issue, but just friends seems a bit extreme to worry over.
