Every girl has been in this situation, probably multiple times. You like a guy – I mean, really like him – but you have no idea if those feelings are reciprocated. Sure, he smiled at you in Algebra last week, and maybe he seems to be passing by your locker more often than he used to. Is it a positive sign or just wishful thinking? If you are in this quandary with a guy right now, we’ve got some help for you. Check out these tips for determining whether that special guy likes you back.
The Eyes Give it Away
When a guy likes a girl, he will usually look at her – a lot. You may catch his gaze across Spanish class or catch him checking you out in the cafeteria. Whether he looks away when you catch his eye or locks you into a longer gaze, frequent looks are often a good sign. A guy may also smile at you when your eyes meet, a sure sign that he is at least enjoying your attention.
Observing Body Language
Most experts believe that 10% of our communication is verbal, while the other 90% is done through body language. When you sit next to each other, does he lean toward you or sit back and cross his arms in a way that says, “Back off!” Does he make eye contact with you when you talk to him, or are his eyes flitting across the room to his buddies or that cute blonde from English Comp? Guys that unconsciously brush their hair with their hands or show other signs of self preening in your presences are usually showing you that they care what you think of them – a sure sign of interest.
Dress to Impress
He may not be flaunting new clothes, but when a guy likes a girl, he may try to impress her. It may be by showing off his really hot car or his really cool moves on the court. If he’s putting on his best manners, he is probably trying to show you respect. And yes, boys will tend to clean themselves up and put on their nicest duds when they are interested in someone of the opposite sex. Just like you will take a little extra time with the wardrobe and makeup when a new love interest is in the works.
Beware of Texting
While most people use cell phones and text messaging to communicate today, make sure that you don’t read too much into a text message from a guy. While girls usually leave messages filled with information and friendly chat, guys like to get to the point and leave it at that. Don’t over analyze text messages that you might receive from your future lover; instead try to have real life conversations with him so you can read his body language.
Determining whether someone likes you is a mystery much of the time. However, by using these tips, you can get a better idea if that cute guy really likes you or if you should turn your sights on someone else.

I like this guy.. Literally everyone knows I do, it’s the school’s main gossip and has been since November.. I sent him a rose at Valentine’s, and nearly everyone I know has been trying to set us up.. But I know almost 100% that he doesn’t like me.. I have fancied this guy for 5 months now and i havre finally told him about the way I feel, when I told him he was like..”cool” he hasn’t acted any differant still seems like we are good friends. Ok i REALLY seriously like this guy most likely in love with him, like hes so sweet and funny. he looks at me i try not to stare back because i didnt want to make it TO obviouse. I use to hate this Guy that goes to my school. But after hanging out with him at a party I found a diffrent side of him a nice side. He made his move pretty fast putting his arm around me sweet talking and shit like that. I fell for him of course, the next two months he completly ignored me, then one day popped up in my lunch hugged me and said lets hangout. I was on the fence since for two months he wouldnt even look me in the eye. But I sad yes of course bc I had some weird attraction to him. Sadly he bailed on me. Then after 3 weeks of ignoring me he has popped back up again, this time asking me to the movies where he actully showed up but the whole time acted like an a-hole. Now once again he is ignoring me and I cant stop liking him, and crying over him at the same time. I want him to just pop up again and tell me he likes me but for now I have to take the cold shoulder.
I used to go out with this guy in 2nd year and it was so awkward and tbh i prefered just fancing him but i would have felt bad about breaking up with him and one day we had decided to go with each other so me and my 3 best friends well thats what i thought were all walking into town and me and my friend amy were walking ahead of everyone beacause they were walking slowly then i got a call when i was about 2 mins ahead of them i could see them behind me and they said walk back to us (1 of my best friends jordan (girl) ) and i said sure why dont you walk to us and they were like just walk back here and then they hung upon me and were getting really annoyed so anyway we were still walking towards town and my boyfriend at this tim called me and said “do you not want to go with me ” and i sai “no who told you that “”jordan” and i was like i do just walk towards town and he was like ok nd then i got call sayin i no you dont want to go with me jordan and emma just told me its over .
So a year on i still like him , we have went with eachother at discos but i dont no if he still likes me . he then started texting the girl that made us break up in the first place and she is flirting with him constantly and then he asked her if he could finger her and she said no but then all his friends told jordan that he like francesca (my true friend) who knows i still like him what should i do i would really love some advice pleas

Obviously since I’m writing this I need guy help, lol. So here’s the sitch I really like this guy, who is smart, funny, always makes me smile and laugh. We hang out sometimes, but not as much as I would like to. He is amazing.

On the whole “eyes” thing. Watch his pupils. Pupils dilate when you either desire the object of your attention, or are sexually stimulated. So if he’s looking at you (in the light, because darkness also causes pupil dilation) and his pupils are big, he at least thinks you’re hot.
