I agree with the first part. But I don't think it's a good idea to bring jealousy into a relationship or force something to stay with you. That won't make a good relationship. Just tell him that even though he told you not to worry, you're still intimidated by the fact and it's making you uncomfortable. If he does end up leaving you for this retard, then you'll know he wasn't worth it.
