Okay, so we've all probably been there. You're talking on the phone and a conversation about one topic ends and both people are thinking of a new thing to talk about. Any advice on what you can talk about or ask to create more conversation?

The reason I ask is because I'm talking to this girl, and we're in that stage where we both like eachother but we're just getting to know one another...

Get off the fucking phone. At the stage you're at, you should be on the phone for no longer than 20 minutes, and that's like 2-3 times a week. Not everyday. Get to know each other in person, on a date.

I actually faced that tonight. I was at my girlfriend's house, and we don't really talk about a hell of a lot, so there was a lot of silent time.

I actually ended up asking her if it bothered her and she said it didn't, but she definitely seems more uncomfortable with it than I am. It doesn't bother me at all.

So what to do with people who aren't OK with quiet?
