Crushes never work, you need to know you love a girl before you make a move, or atleast know you've got a decent chance and a straight path towards getting some.

My first (and only) crush pretty much ruined my life. I'm not going to give you any details on it, except for the fact that it taught me to actually look at someone and try to figure them out, wait before saying I love her or any of that and make a move when I have to tell her.

A winning personality and patience helps more than looks, unless the girl you want is some shallow cunt.
