I'm in the 9th grade and never had a boyfriend. Is that abnormal?Wierdo's and nerds ask me out sometimes and I say no. I have some acne, and I'm shy.
Should I be more outgoing even if I'm uncomfortable with it? I just want some guy friends for now.
My dad is really over protective and would have a hearta attack if i told him i had one.
Advice?

u dont need to compromise who u r now just to get some guy freinds all u really have to do is appeal to some of the guys at u're schools interest and make some common ground with them.

Ok.....kinda got carried away. But, give your dad a nice big sandwich, an ice cold beer, and tell him thanks for the good work. Of course, you deserve a sandwich too. Just not as big as his.

Consult your dad that you're interested in guys and that you're not his 'little' girl anymore.
Just explain you're after nothing serious, but there's a couple of guys you like at school. (Even if there isn't).
Or plain don't tell him.

It's not weird you haven't had a boyfriend yet, it's just your choosing. If you aren't flirty you won't grab attention easily, and just because you're shy and have some acne that should let you hold yourself back.
If you can hang with mates, with guy mates and mingle that way it's a good start.
But if you're uncomfortable being outgoing, just work up slowly with it, just go out with your best mates.. and then slowly build up more and more people you don't know to come out with you.
Well eventually you'll know them more the first time you meet them. But if you catch the idea, you just got to build at your confidence.

^^ Do not do this. If your not interested in a guy don't say yes just so you can have a boyfriend and most definitely don't go around acting desperate to get someone. Guys will only take advantage of that.

Really just don't beat yourself up about it. You'll find someone your interested in eventually, until then just enjoy a drama free year. Sure relationships are great, but most are just a hassle.
