so ive been good friends w/ this dude for a while.. like.. 3 years and ive had this on and off crush for him. we always use to chill... we're both ballers so we use to play ball a lot. he recently asked me out and now were doing the whole prom thing. im still a little "if-y" with him cause im definitely attracted to him and he can be really super sweet at times but at a lot of other times he gets me really frustrated..which kind of neutralizes all the cool things he does

for example..

he talks has this really long conversation w. my bestfriend about how much he likes me, what he should get me for my birthday, and how im not like other girls..but theeeeeen i asked him to chill for a bit after school on my birthday but hes not sure cause hes gunna go play ball...

or

takes me to the movies and have a pretty awesome time, walks me home when his house is in the complete opposite direction, and we have a whole conversation in whispers on the porch. but then has a really bad (like i mean plane wreck) date after that

Relatioships are like that in the early stages. Girls dont realise that you have to push through the awkward early stage to get to the perfect relationship.

I always have people going 'Ohh your so lucky to have that sort of relationship' and the fact is i'm not lucky! I had to guts to push through it and now its paying off!

Relationships aren't perfect, don't expect it to be. The dates will become better over time once he becomes used to going out with you but there will always be slip-ups.

Yeah, he may just be a total pans, but he'll learn soon enough I guess.

Typical guy tbh, but then men don't usually understand subtleties (i think thats how you spell it) so tell HIM what you've told us, coz guys (generally speaking) don't get it until they get told straight. And don't skip around it either, just tell him straight. I've found "The hammer treatment" works wonders XD
