Yea, so my Senior Prom is coming up. I have some prospective people I would like to ask to the prom, however as the title suggests, I'm no fucking good at it.

Haaaa...Well first off, you should ask a girl that's somewhat attracted to you. Second, you should grow some balls, or enlarge those you may already have, and ask the chick. Third, you should get over the rejection that will probably hit you in the face....multiple times.

You know, I'm a nerd. But being a nerd doesn't mean you have to be frail and a repellant to women. Just about every girl in my school has or has had a crush on me and I am one of, if not the, best fighter in the school. Knowledge isn't limited to just complex equations.

To solve your problem, work on your wardrobe. If your clothes scream "my mom dressed me", you're wearing woman repellant. Make sure your hair isn't dorky or a clusterfuck. If you have acne, invest in Apricot Scrub and Oxy Pads; use the former in the shower daily and the latter whenever your face feels oily. Read into some online guides for grooming.

That takes care of the looks aspect. The next thing you'll have to work on is how to speak to a girl. This is more of a personal thing and you may require to get this at your own pace. But from your post, you seem to have a sense of humor. Don't be afraid to try and make the girl laugh. Don't tell jokes though. Watch a bit of Dane Cook and borrow his way of speaking if you're having trouble. If you're a nerd, you should have some opinions on world events, so you're set there. Be interesting and show (subliminally) what you can offer that no other guy can.

That takes care of your personality. Your only concern now is having the two buddies downstairs to put it all into motion.

The term/phrase "no" or "no thanks" may sting a bit, but it's not as bad as you think. Just ask a girl who you think would say yes, and you share similar interest with. You don't want to get there and talk about nothing, it just makes for a bad night. You're a senior, so I'm sure you have at least 1 girl you can ask. If anything, you can ask an underclassmen, they love the idea of going to those things. But finding one that you share similar interest with is key.
