Well Death Note is definately the best anime to me right now. ^^ But then there's also: Code Geass, Fullmetal Alchemist, Trinity Blood, Blood +, Samurai Champloo, Bleach, Spiral, Trigun, Ghost in the Shell, and then, I doubt that you'll be into this one, but Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE.

yah stick with any of the onez that L Lawiet says but if u dont want a short series i'd go with Full Metal Alchemist or Bleach

Also another extremely long series is InuYasa, with I think 181 episodes (Or somewhere around that number) and 4 movies.

Eh, Naruto isn't that bad. It's not one of my favorites, but I don't hate it. And Naruto gets better, much better, in the Shippudin episodes. ^^ Plus it's got the awesome song: Hero's Come Back.

Yeah, I never got into DBZ all that much either. I only liked the Freeza episodes.

I watched a series called orphen and I thought it was pretty good.

For some reason, nobody said Cowboy Bebop or Outlaw Star. For that matter, where's Tenchi Muyo, Rurouni Kenshin, and if you liked DBZ you'll probably like Yu Yu Hakusho. All good stuff.
