I could have prevented the death of my family dog by not opening the garage door while he was there. He ran out because my family sucks at just about everything and got hit by a car. We had him for a few years.
It's not a big deal. Quit going boohoo about absolutely nothing just because a puppy you've had for 7 weeks kicked the bucket.
