Dimmu Borgir is death metal isn't it? I wouldn't know, I really hate that entire brand of music.

If you're going to put any death metal band on there at all, it should be Celtic Frost. They are the only band from that genre to have noteworthy influence on metal as a whole.

And why in the hell would Dream Theater be #1? What kind of effect have they had on metal? What did they do musically that no one else had done? Most people haven't even heard of them, whereas Black Sabbath and Metallica are house names, for good reason. Both revolutionized what was happening in their music style; made it known. They each have talented musicians to speak of. Tony Iommi and Kirk Hammett could tap and tremolo pick and do anything else 'metal' musicians are still trying to do, and for a long time, the lyrics and subjects still haven't advanced past those years.
