If you really feel that strongly about your old man's decision, sit him down, and tell him straight up in the most respectful way possible (or keep a straight face and tell a white lie like I do).

"Dad, I know you want me to go to Brazil and go to school there, but I feel that it would make no sense for such a big change at this point and time, especially when it's my senior year of high school and I've become so accustomed to the setting there. I simply feel that I should have a say in my future."
