I read the magna as well, cause I got impatient with the Anime in the soul society arc.. hah. That and it's much cooler and less pointless talking.
The fillers are only cause the Anime's nearly caught up with the Manga, instead of going off topic, why didn't they just do what they was doing.. drag the scenes out longer?
