Except that when a black guy may be running for president, there may be those unwilling to support him just because he's black.
I've had to literally beg people to vote and reassure them that Obama will not be killed in office, because he'll be the most secured man in the world. Racism is prevalent, and people fear it.
(and there was a story of a girl who did this as well to her mother, blackmailing her to vote)
