If you don't want to, fine. Just get a really wordy, kissy-kissy phone call prepared. Basically, tell him:
"Dad, I really love you and everything... but I really don't want to come down for the summer. I plan on hanging out with friends for the last summer I have before high school, and getting ready for the rigorous curriculum! (rofl, I'm such a BSer) I'd just like to let you know, I've been thinking about you. I hope you and your girlfriend have a great summer."
