People break up. All the time. There's no point in being upset over it because you obviously weren't going to marry the guy. Hopefully. I understand why you're upset but you guys obviously weren't compatible.
The relationship wasn't necessarily a lie. You begin dating someone because you like the qualities that they decide to show you. Then, as the relationship progresses, you begin to see qualities that they don't want to show you. And sometimes they're more than you can handle.
