OK.
I went to an all boys high school. It's awesome. You'll learn confidence at the school and you won't have to worry about self esteem issues like "Does the girl in the 3rd row of Government like me or know I exist?"
It sucks because meeting women will be harder. However, this in turn will make you a more gregarious person. You'll be forced to go out and meet people. You'll be forced to be out going.
It sounds like you don't like being alone. Good. Just don't let that anxiety own you. Use it as a spring board. Use the fact that you're alone now as a reason to go out and make friends.
Every kind of event that I go to (including parties where I know no one there), I always walk up to a group of people, extend my hand and say "Hey, my name is Odin, how the fuck are you?" People either laugh or hate me and if they hate me, I move on. Try it in high school. Remember, on your first day of freshman year, everyone else is just as scared as you. Use that. Be confident. Be the beacon other freshman look to.
Look to a guy who's style resembles yours, walk up to him, ask him how the fuck he is, then comment on how much you don't want to be there just like him. Bam, that's your first friend. You may not like him after a few days of talking to him, but it will start building your confidence right then and there.
I was close to a kid in freshman year, and now I don't know where he is. On the flip side, my best friend I met on my first day of freshman year, first period. I quoted Family Guy, he turned around and returned the quote and from that point on we've fucked shit up.
It's all in how you look at life. This situation is yours to own. So own it.
I like you, kid...you got spunk.
The girls will follow once you get that confidence, don't worry. Spend freshman year building yourself. |
