Theres this new goth kid at school, and she seems really nice and friendly, but...

She hates me.

Now, she just transferred here recently (like, only a week ago) and the first day she came here I was pretty enthusiastic about meeting a new person. So, when she finally came into the class, I was really happy and bubbly and friendly to her. But now, she doesn't talk to me when I try to talk to her, and when I offer to do something nice for her (stand next to her best friend in Physical Education, give her a bite of my banana cream pie, etc.) she gives me a cold "whatever." I talked to her friends (quite a bit of her goth friends are are also my friends) and they said either 1) I'm being a dick (I doubt it, I've barely talked to the damn girl) 2) I came off to strong, or 3) She's trying to get my attention.

So, I really want to be friends with her, but it seems we just don't fit very well, and I'm worried that I'm being an ass without seeing it.

What should I do
