answer to ur first question: naruto never pased the chunnin exam he jest kinda left w/ juraiya
answer to ur second question: no that is not true that one moneter said that to freack them out in truth hinati was just sent back to the academy n all she really is she n kibe r just gennin fight now but they will be made chinnin soon -sorry if its a spoiler-
